a quick recap of 2009

It's the last day of 2009. It has been quite a fulfilling year, with the loves of family and friends, what's more, with the add-on of new colleagues, which also means, more new friends. It's funny how we look back those days, and you reminisce 'em, yet, you're moving on with 140km/h. Did a few collages with all the events' pictures taken throughout 2009.
So, what have I done this year?
To cut it short, i guess 2009 is a great year. There's always win-win-lose-lose circumstances. I've finally fulfilled one of my birthday wishes after 2 years time. Yes. After 2 years. O_O" I've made one and two close friends who can share and pour my hearts. I've got special birthday celebrations. I've lost my grandpa during my birthday week. I've got my cousins relationship elevated into another level. I've achieved what I wanted myself to be in uni. I've stepped my foot into other country for a trip. I've got a stable job. I've got to know the angels cum mentors that God sent. I thought I've put myself away from certain friendships. Most importantly, I've got my mind thinking through a lot of things, cracking my skull, entangling my brain cells for some decisions made.
All in all, I am thankful for being able to sit down, reflecting my 2009 in this quiet peaceful night, where everybody had gone out for countdown? =) I am not regretful, coz being able to stay healthy, rest and recharge myself well, to welcome the year of 2010, is already a blessing.
In the year 2010, I hope I can:
Improve my social skills
Brush up my softskills
Further my studies and practical skills
Searching my faith
Spreading the messsage of love to people around me.
Continue to be in the helping ministry, extending my helping hands.
Never stop trying. Be persistent. Don't give up!!
Let us work hard, strive hard, play hard and pray hard for a better 2010! =D

the art of working

So, i've been sticking my butt for quite some time in this job. If were to count the days from part time to internship to full time job, it should be about 1/2 year? time flies indeed. =)
Had a lil meeting-chat with our boss and the unit today before we knocked off. I am happy that our unit is running on a smooth sailing. Just like our logo, the gull is ready to soar. Honestly speaking, i am really really happy to be in this unit where there're mentors around who are willing to teach and guide you in almost everything. And I can't describe how thankful can I be. Boss mentioned that our unit is crazy and she hopes that we can spread some joy to others in the office as well.
We laugh and giggle always, despite of the stress level that all of us are going through during this critical audit period. Well, I have to admit that we laugh too much. It can be irritating to others sometimes, but we... simply... -.-" cannot control the laughters, especially those tearful laughters. There are jokers around. =)) too many (I) influential people around us among the D.I.S.C. More so, boss commented that we have a great leader, whom we call her our mother very often lately. Her leadership is very people-oriented, at the same time, work-oriented. She had set a great example to me, seriously. =)
You see. Social skill is really important. In working life, apart from soft skill, we need to have a certain attitude to keep our performance on par. I would say initiative and proactive are very crucial elements. We're working in team, we have to keep our speed at the same pace and update with each other. Moreover, teamwork and team spirit are important as well. You know, bonding time is priceless, especially during lunch or after office hour. =) We've been practising open communication often, and today, our mother said that, it really depends how mature a person to receive and interpret the message during open communication. Well, it's true. Up until now, my unit has not much problem in this. Most probably we're people-oriented coz some are the counsellors? I donno. But it just work perfectly here.
2010 is in less than 24 hours and for the first time, I wish for working purpose, that our unit can continue to grow and our working relationship and friendship can continue to be closer. We're ready to take up the challenge in 2010. Mother said, we don't acknowledge a problem as problem, it's forever a challenge! GAMBATEH!

the 700th post just for Christmas

Christmas, a season of giving. I always lovvvvvve Christmas. So much to be looking forward to. So much anticipation of the Christmas deco. So much fun to wrap Christmas gifts. So much gratitude to be in place when receiving gifts from your loved ones. =) I always used to say, we don't have to wait until Christmas to give love. Everyday is a lovey day. We ought to treat people nicely. However, to me, Christmas is an intention. It's an intention for people to give love and to forgive one's sin. It was a special day created by God.

the mini christmas tree at home =)
it was up when i reached home at 12am 25th Dec. It's homey.
and i felt it's the best tree of the year 2009. =D
so, we also had a team of choir.
carolling at home =D
love them all!
taken in JB Tebrau. Big boxes of gifts.
lots of events that day. @_@" human like ants.
headache after shopping. O______o"
A very elegant angel which i just received. I think the angel needs an extra care and it will definately train my "feminine" side of being a gentle one. Thanks Steph! =)) Love it. ^^

a box of handmade chocolate and message by Hui Ru. =))
Yummy! Thanks a million! touched =D
A gift from my supervisor, May. =) 2010 Calender. Love it too!
I was struck by my friend's blog the other day. He mentioned "family is always my priority right after God". He didn't get to celebrate Christmas with his family for 3 years down the road. His words, his expression, had deeply carved in my heart. What's far better than our family? As I grow, i gradually feel the importance of family (which I honestly admit that I didn't feel the same way during teenagehood). Now, family places in my first thought, which I thought it's a good change. =))

I wonder this considers as a christmas surprise or not. My aunt passed me these pics. That's me! =) I missed the bolster doll! =) My grandma was in the pic too! Simply memorable. Thinking about my childhood, i had almost everything. Shall not complain anymore.

spent my Christmas Day with ah-mah in Jb. =) She said she camera shy, still, quite a good pic. ahmah, don't always say i can't speak hokkien. =X

mummy and i at ah-mah place. =D

after a long day in JB, we still went out for din-sup (dinner + supper) at Barney's! and we met Soofei! =D our good friend. ^^

my sista! =D

the next day, i had a small short gathering with friends.

Some post thoughts of christmas: wrapping a gift is very very fun thingy! and it's mysterious. Imagine, ppl are shaking the gift to guess what's inside. (or am i the one who only does that?). I think wrappers really play a crucial role. It creates a great feeling. At least, a wrapped gift derives the mysterious feeling in me! :)

I love to send out gift to people that i love. =) and the moment i receive gift from friends, the feeling, simply speechless. I felt the love, i really do. Thank you. Merry Christmas people. Hope you guys had a great one. ^^

awal muharram on top of the hill

We have many long weekends holiday (fri-sun) during December this year. It started off with Awal Muharam (18th-20th), then Christmas Day(25th-27th), then New Year (1st-3rd) down the road! =D
So, the kickstart of the weekend holiday shall be our Cameron-Ipoh roadtrip! =) Yea, *yawn*, i know it's been an overdue post. Nevertheless! I had a great weekend getaway with the council peeps! =)) Well, it's our first trip date after... 1/2 year of our "retirement"? :) Oh yes. =D Often we had too many makan dates. Good that we had badminton dates and probably once-in-a-blue-moon-trip for bonding purpose!
So, it was a perodua team roadtrip all the way up to the hill. Hehe! It's my first time being in Cameron and everything was new to me, i mean, the hill! the trees! the clouds! the tea plantation! the contours of tea leaves! the flowers! the freaking cold chilly weather! Thus, a lil bit of excitement here and there. =D Despite of the drizzle for 2 consecutive days, yet, we had fun *in our own way* =D
Thank you guys for making this trip worthwhile! =)) Nana treasures my first time! Haha!
Let the pics scroll! =D
On our way up to Cameron, we stopped by at this waterfall.
Cold air! Cold water! Apparently, i could feel the wetness around. =X

nv realised i would get to see grapes! =)
greeeeeen! =) veggie
and yes, we lined up for dessert and snacks for almost 20 mins. the outcome: "sorry miss, we only left this and this and this but not this and this".
Sigh. The side effect of having holiday with the crowds. Food also hard to snatch. Hehe!
However! we still got to eat some.
Waffle! =D Yumm!
very pure strawberry milkshake. =))
5 in 1. Haha!
sharing is caring! ^^
on our way down the strawberry farm. O_O very cold...
That's where we had steamboat =)
Day 2: Boh Tea plantation!! =D
My fav of all! ^^
The Boh Cafe! ^^
Very classic and natural place to enjoy your every bite. =)
Breezing wind. Hot tea. English-style breakfast.
The best enjoyment of life! ^^
Before we headed into the tea plantation.
Behind us, contours of tea! =D

It was simple and fun.
