This might be true...but is there someone that willing to admit the truth?
For me, i think that everyone will always compare themselves, either with better one or worst one. In order to see where he or she is currently position at.
This is call social comparison...fella psychologist..lol
However, this is not to be viewed as negative. Social comparison itself doesnt bring any meaning. The consequences are the one that make social comparison as positive or negative.
For example: A see B as more superior coz when A compare himself with B, B always did better. This cause A to be more hardworking and put more effort in order to be same with B or better than B. This is positive thinking.
However, example B: A see B as more superior coz B oways better. A feel himself as worthless and therefore give up on what he is doing now... so, this is negative thinking.
Therefore, it really up to you to judge yourself as special or not.
Looking at ourselves is good...but...too much will it cause us to be arrogant or irrational...
Din compare with others will oways cause ourselves to be left out by society or being considered as outlaw which causing problem for not only you, but people around you as well.
Social comparison isn't bad. Just that, it need a healthy context. Not by pulling people down, not by judging people's ability. It will only reduce the esteem on people. Not really supporting this point.
We should always communicate appropriately under different circumstances.
However, i understand all the things that you've said. =) i agree with u for some points. REally justified. Hehe! :) Thanks, bro.
ooooo! an anonymous! :) I am surprised! :) it's very seldom people will leave a footprint as anonymous. Anyhow, i still wanna thank you for the comment. =)
I do agree what anonymous and 因心said. Both are contradicting but meaningful in their own way.
Yeap. Both are two different variables but they are correlated. *grin* Or else, christopher would not bring this up i guess. :) He's an intellectual psychologist to be! :) hehe!

We are unique and we have our own GOOD =D
Before judging on others, we should look at ourselves first :)

Therefore i mentioned that social comparison itself doesnt bring any positive or negative meaning. It is purely up to you.
You think comparing with others will pull your esteem...but for some, it might be just another challenge in life which boost their esteem :D
Hehe
Comparison and Judging others is totally different variables dont you think?
C'mon, its easy to say we dot judge and blog about it. But action speaks louder than words.
