Controller

Control.
TV has remote control.
Even digital fan also have remote control.

Human, have remote control too.
We're the controller of our lives.
We control our emotion, control our temper, control when to pee/shit, control our ways of speaking and control the thoughts of mind.

Sometimes i feel God created human in such a great way that He gave us mind to control a lot of things. However, the most uncontrollable subject in human must be the speech from our mouth. Often, people talk. Communication is very important. A real communication involves a lot of technique and knowledge. We learn how to talk under a proper setting. We talk & we crap. We chat about recent happenings, latest people that we meet.

Have you ever tried to control your temper? That you hold your anger so tightly until you can feel is on the tip of your throat? :) It's unbearable, but it is worthy because you never knew the anger that had subsided actually salvage your relationship with people. :) That's what i meant "control". Remember, words hurt more than anything in the world. We love people because we have love in ourselves. Try to think of others, just like how we think for ourselves :)

Our Wesak!

Errr don't get me wrong, we're not celebrating Wesak anyday but we had fully utilised Wesak for the outing purpose :) It's been quite long since our last outing with the council peeps :) Miss everyone...

Anyway! So, we went to BCM (Bible College Malaysia) to support Steph's mum. There's funfair over there for fundraising purpose. It was really a good funfair with so many stalls, food, good people, and children around! :) What a super hot morning!! =X Later on, we proceed to Tropicana City Mall to catch Bounty Hunter with our sticky skin. O__o" the story was a bit lengthy, almost doze off in the middle. =X A lil bit out of my expectation. In the end of the day, Balinese food from Water Lily Restaurant fulfilled our stomach. It was super tiring, yes indeed. Nonetheless, it was a great day. :)

So, the Muna says...

So, it was a random move. Over to Munakata for Japanese cuisine :) It was great! :) Great companion! Great food! Great photo! Great night! ^^
Sometimes, quantity isn't a matter anymore. It's the people that matters the most. I enjoy being around with good friends, keeping in touch in such way, sharing those hidden stories, sharing good food, spending some quality time. Is this a sign of aging? *I wonder* Don't know why, today i felt, the friendship is there *loves* :) wonder issit coz of the topic we've discussed? =D haha!
Just thought of asking a question. If one day, when human don't discuss about human anymore, does conversation ever exist? What is gossip to you? :) It's okay to talk about human, as long as we're not humiliating anyone or hurting anyone throughout the conversation.
alright! photos! :)

Change

Nowadays, it seems like my posts are filled with the word "Change".
After the camp, a lot of changes take place.
It does not only happen within the camp, but also the uni.
With the new management, i think the students will be so benefited.
To me, this is something to be really happy about.
Though i know the workload that we're going to have, will be
endless. @_@"
A change.
It takes an extra mile for a change to happen.
Often, people just don't like "change".
Changes take place when you're out of your comfort zone.
It's never easy.
But it's never difficult when we decide to take the first step. :)
Changes can also cause your ego to switch.
It may even pull down your egoistic mindset.
Changes make people humble and be gracious.
Ironically, changes can also make people go another round.
Personally,
changes in me do not happen in a blink of an eye.
I like to make and create a change, more so changes in people, the surrounding, the consequences and the "future" so to speak. When we plan for a change, that means, we're changing for a betterment, especially when it rolls the ball to the future. :)
It's good to give ourselves an opportunity to create changes in life.
All the best, peeps!

I've Changed Freshman Camp

It's the moment that i've been long awaiting.
The "I've Changed" Freshman Camp has come to an end.
Months of preparation and it took just a sprint to complete the camp.
I've always been so into camps, be it as the camper or the organizer.
How about making friends with pipes and marbles? :)
transfering hula hoop!
Though i know campers will gonna be tortured, or the facilitators are going to work so hard so that the whole camp will be a great and memorable one, but it's always the memories that carry the weightage in our lives.
Rock 'n Roll! on top of each other! =X
"Pipeline", a game which requires a lot of patience and teamwork!
The handicapped game
senior was bringing juniors together
I was touched while seeing this photo.
we discovered a newcomer!
the future song writer!
Throughout this year, 2 camps had been organized under the team. It was crazy. It sucked up too much of energy. Nonetheless, behind the curtain, you know that there's gonna be value-added elements. The friendship, the teamwork, the attitudes, the personalities that involved as a team. I have a very crazy idea in my mind, which is to get 3 name tags from 3 different camps each year, which also means, each semester, i will have to plan for one camp. (in which, i think my team will kill me). =D
Opening Ceremony- campfire!
I've Changed Freshman Camp.
The first ever Freshman Camp happening in UCSIU. Yea... it's happy and sad at the same time. Happy because it's the first time! Sad because nobody actually thought of bringing new students out for a camp all these while. As i was brainstorming the theme, I thought to myself, "I am going to make a lil change in student's life in UCSI. They cannot just focus on the academic and study like a slave. They HAVE to play HARD in their uni life. We're all here to make a difference and it begins in self contribution towards the community you're serving.
campers conquered Broga Hill (5.30am-9.30am) including
the community clean up project on top of the hill
overwhelmed by the Mother nature.
kids are into the green environment
gotong royong was held up the hill.
the NEW FRIEND FOUND singing and dancing session
building raft under the sun was really remarkable!
all of us got sunburn!
cover the holes
"Punctured Drum" session
You know, the most fulfilling moment in me is bringing the students out as a bunch of strangers, but coming back as a bunch of buddies. Though it's gonna be short, but, it always take the effort for the students to carry on the friendship made throughout the camp. Camp is always a great avenue. It always have the hidden power. :)
you guys rocked the house!
Yay!
All in all, i am sincerely and genuinely blessed by my team, to my sisters' endless support, help and ideas. Also, not forgetting the powerful student committee who have been giving me all sort of assistance. Thank you for making the camp a successful one! Let's anticipate for the next Freshman Camp!!

Nothing ever beat the good 'ol feeling of friends and food back in our own hometown! We went to a few old places like Rong Seri (malay restaurant) that we used to hang out lots and also Witchery Ider Cafe for bubble tea! ^^ Still as refreshing as before! =) Lurve it!
What's more? A birthday celebration for Soofei for her official age of 2x. Hehe! Soofei, wish you have a great great year ahead! We're all here to cheer! ^^ Thanks for your friendship all these while with us! ^^

sense of fulfillment

When you work, it's very important for you to maintain the satisfaction level, be it for yourself, or the students that you're serving. That's the greatest intrinsic motivation of all.
Lately, although the workload seems to be endless, but deep down inside, I grin back to myself seeing students' smiles and gratitudes in return. Giving myself a pat of shoulder when the students thank me for the services made, though at times it's merely few lines of explanation. Moreover, some encounters of parents got me choked, especially over the phones, or meeting them during Open Day. I am happy to listen to parents, talk to them and listen to their problems, trying to sort it out and reply to them in a proper way. In return, it's the endless thanks over the long distance call. Same thing goes to Open Day. Parents shook hands and thank you for giving the kids some advices regarding their studies, especially if the kid happened to be psych-major later on.

"Why did u choose psychology during your time?"
"Coz i would like to learn more about human."
"So, what have you learned from it?"
"Well, I would say, it's the level of acceptance towards human that I am improving with whenever I deal with different people."
"I see, what are u up to in this uni?"
"I am under Student Development & Counselling Unit of Student Affairs."
"So, u're the counsellor, but counsellor always have less salary if compared to other professions."
"Ermm, i think, it's the matter of interest. I would like to involve myself in the helping ministry and try to serve students in education field."
At times, it's not always a smooth sailing for Student Affairs. I did meet students who are rude and arrogant, assuming you to know every tiny bit of the whole university. Shocked to know that I still can keep my head cool, and rationalize with them with patience, letting them know the importance of holding our own responsibility when you're old enough, added with the *forceful green smile (do not ever let your emotion controls you). Later then only blast/complain this issue to your team after the student left. HAHA! =D Nevertheless, I do meet students who are super obedient, polite and helpful. :)

It's never easy to work at Student Affairs, but the sense of fulfillment is always the greatest thing that I attained, especially when students come back to you, and wave you with a hi :) Have to remember, we are not able to please everyone in our lives.

Know your Life Purpose by Keep Improving!

Reading can be very sedative sometimes. It soothes you with a good night sleep. Apparently. i was reading these few nights and i was so enlightened with some of the possible happenings in our lives, be it as a leader or the team player. Reading is very healthy. It triggers your thoughts and your past.
So, what's with the reading outcome?
Hmmm. That chapter was about knowing your purpose in life as a leader. "I will ask questions, seek answers, and knock on all doors until i am confident that we're pursuing the right purpose." This verse ponders me. I am on the track of pursuing my dream yet i am only paying 60% effort of the above statement.
It is so crucial for us to have:
-A purpose will motivate us.
-A purpose that keeps us set our priorities straight.
-A purpose to develop our potential.
-A purpose that gives us the power to live in the present.
-A purpose that evaluate our progress.
We all live in a society with destination disease so called. Often, we want to do enough to "arrive" and then we want to retire. This is true yet concise. We have been living in the world of achieving the goals, striving for personal gains, topping up with more marketable characteristics to fit into the norm of staying as a student, an employee or an employer. Everyone is looking for a quick fix, but what we really want is the fitness.
"People who look for fixes stop doing what's right when pressure is relieved whereas for those who pursue fitness do what they should no matter what the circumstances are." I'm kinda agree with it. It is so evident in a lot of fields. Let's just take student event as an example. It's forever a short term impact. You wanted good number of participations, in fact, how many individual actually we can touch on? I've told to myself, i do not want to be a touch-n-go card to people around me. I would go for the experience which are educational, developmental and valuable. :) We can't always count. We just can't count. It is not the figure that wins, it is the value that you've instilled.
From now on, let's just strive our best, in spreading your positive values to everyone. It's really a great beginning to start off, do not underestimate each of our effort in doing so. :) Best wishes, from Nana! :) Remember, we are somebody to anyone around us.

S for Sensitivity

"Sensitivity" is the word of the day.
Being sensitive towards others' needs is a good deed.
However, how do we deal with over sensitivity?
Beat me. I wonder too.

Right.
So, how?
When a person is sensitive, it also means, he/she is lacking of the sense of security, deprives of affirmation and acknowledgement.
At times, we just gotta shower more patience and love towards such people in our lives. We just have to deal with it. However, it's not to the extend of giving in always, you also gotta let the person know how you feel, else, it won't ended with a happy ending :)

You know, i just have the tendency of... knowing more and more sensitive people in my life. Golly! =X I will try my best to be a tiny lil bit more sensitive. I promise. :)

Bumbu Bali

It was a happy gastronomic Friday night with housemates to Puchong's Bumbu Bali! :) As title, Bumbu Bali serves Balinese food. We had a trio platter, ayam betutu and chicken salad for the four of us. They serve generous portion of food. We ended up with bloated stomach. Bumbu Bali has good service and the waitress/waiter were friendly. Close to perfection, if only this place is air-conditioned. =X Slightly stuffy, partly because there were candles everywhere around the restaurent. Oh yes! The place was well decorated with the Bali ornaments. Thanks Mei for introducing such a great place! :)
photos! :) Candles along the wooden staircase, with Mei's feet. Haha! =D
Candle on the dining table with flowers on the water.
I can't figure out the function of this.
Some historical photos and stories about Bali The Trio Platter.
We were in love with the sauces served. :)
Fried squid, chicken wings, Bali-styled satay.
Ayam Betutu, served with Nasi Kuning, kangkung, keropok, ayam, sauces!
Dessert.
Chicken Salad! Sweet and sour sauce which helps in digestion.
If i could suggest, i would like to have more veggies. =D
