The most fortunate thing in Miri i would say it's food. We spent our free time (brunch and dinner) to try some local food, not the hotel type of food. It's forever gastronomic :) When hunger strikes, food is always the best medicine and motivation after a long day.

this is superbly interesting
the starchy thingy is actually a product like kuey teow.

We had 2 dinners for free in Miri coz the restaurant belongs to a colleague's mother. The mother was so accomodative and friendly. She served us a lot of good food. Few of them as below.

I think East Malaysia also famous with Kuih LapisMiri is well known of Kuih Batik :)
and btw, it's vinegar with red chillies.hardly use soy sauce. o_O
