New Year Dinner

Had my 1st New Year Dinner with my secondary school friends, Rui Xue and Siew Ping :)) All of us enjoyed the "Just Thai" cuisines. Love spicy foodie! =) It's a new year! Should treat ourselves better, kan? :)

Thanks RX for introducing this restaurant to us :)

tiga orang :)

tomyam beehoon, thai mango salad, thai green curry chic, laksa with the curry, tomyam soup and thai style spaghetti! :))) *slurrrrrrrrp*!
Oh then we discovered this frozen yogurt thingy! :)

and so we tried! :)))) SUPER REFRESHING!
a must try thing if you're in One U :)
a lil pricey though coz it'll be weighed after you dispense the yogurt and add the side "dish" for it. So, our bowl of yogurt was RM 19.30 -__-"

ruixue and i :)
it was a great beginning! :)
let's gambateh for a brand new year!

Food heaven!

Guess Langkawi is really Malay Food Heaven! :) We haven't had any chinese food though. Hehe! We kept on looking for good food around the island, paced around Cenang Beach, Kuah Town. Malay's seems to be the first choice always. Oh well, they're good at their very own cuisine. How can we just don't love Malaysia? Correct?
nasi lemak 3rows in the trip!
yummmmmmy!
english breakfast too! :) love bread!
a lot of you might be wondering what is this!
tadaaaaaaa! IKAN BAKAR! (it's 2nd attempt though)
no kidding, it's good! *the pic was slightly not so appetizing*
oppps! :) but it's heavenly!
tomyam mix! :)
spicy!
kangkung belacan!
oh btw, we had kangkung belacan during every heavy meal.
it's just so happened that this is OUR favourite. -.-!
last night in the island, curry powder crab! :)
very fragrant! tasted curryish. :) but a lil salty though.
SOTONG! NICE! BIG! FRESH! ooooo we tambah our food on our "last dinner".
sambal kueyteow goreng kerang, claimed to be famous there by the taxi driver
it was good!
These are from Kuah Town during our teabreak
spicy popiah and pulut :)
yummy too!
i got a shock of my life when the so-called asam laksa from langkawi was served.
look exactly like longkang sampah.
but to my dismay, it tasted delicious! =) One of the morning breakfast that May ordered: Mee Siam!
very tempting! with the sambal, close to perfection!
first dinner taken: telur bungkus with chic and veggie in it :)
ayam paprik!
first ikan bakar we had: Ikan pari pari
our beloved May called it Ikan Hantu
*faint*

It was quite a funny, contented makan trip for us too! Guess we were all hungry after the activities during the days. Therefore, food were all very precious to us. :)

family mini dinner trip =D

It's been quite some time. Seriously. Had a short dinner outing with my family to Batu Pahat. I love this mini dinner trip. I still rmb dad used to bring us to this seaside to see sunset. It was a memorable one. It has been so long since sis and i are in KL. I guess I really miss all these outings. When can we be free for a trip? Just to spend time? :)

oooo this is pork rib :)

Porridge Sunday

There wasn't any special occasion but I guess it was a leisure Sunday breakfast with Steph. A very random decision after reading vkeong's blog. So, we decided to pay a visit to the fish porridge at Petaling Street. =) I love breakfast (but not the early waking-up feeling) with people.

Taddaaaa! generous portion of fishy!

it's my first time trying such a way to eat porridge.
dumped all the fish in, stir 'em all up!
At first we couldn't find the stall, it was quite hidden at a side. If it's not the blog, we wouldn't have known about it. :)
ooo.. and steph said this tongshui is very famous! :)
candid shot of us.
steph, it's been long to snap an abnormal face like this! ^^
then we jalan jalan at pasar seni.
my first time here, and she said i'm like a tourist. o_O
Various themes in Pasar Seni. I was amazed!
I love the trees! Bulat bulat! :)

Miri: Food

The most fortunate thing in Miri i would say it's food. We spent our free time (brunch and dinner) to try some local food, not the hotel type of food. It's forever gastronomic :) When hunger strikes, food is always the best medicine and motivation after a long day.
Must Try No. 1: KOLO MEE!
and it's only at rm2.50! @_@"
black version- black sauce, minced meat, chili
original version
i had 2 types within the trip.

Miri Laksa. =)

Red sauce lou shu fan!

this is superbly interesting
the starchy thingy is actually a product like kuey teow.

We had 2 dinners for free in Miri coz the restaurant belongs to a colleague's mother. The mother was so accomodative and friendly. She served us a lot of good food. Few of them as below.

Red wine mee sua :) yum! Must Try No. 2: PAKU PAKIS! me likey! :)
Miri also have a lot of weirdo drinks.
Tiga Masam is one of them.
Must Try No. 3: Teh C Special aka 3 layer tea
SUPERB! *thumb's up*

Steve ordered 3 types of toasts.
When it's served, our jaws almost dropped.
SO HUGE! @_@"
and we couldn't finished after the kolo mee. *burp
Chocolate cheese
4 in 1: King of the day! Ham :)
I think East Malaysia also famous with Kuih Lapis
Miri is well known of Kuih Batik :)
and btw, it's vinegar with red chillies.
hardly use soy sauce. o_O

Stay tune...
