true.

Steph Liew delivered a very meaningful and truthful speech during council meeting today. Commitment. Ownership. Sacrifices.

Yes. All these attributes are really imperative for us to run any clubs or societies in Uni. Frankly speaking, almost 60% of uni students nowadays do not feel like joining the school events anymore. This is what i've observed after being here for almost 3 years. Academic stress? Eustress? Distress? It lets you guys to decide. In my opinion, I join clubs because i feel that, these are the remaining years that i able to play and enjoy my so called youth. Camps. Promotional events. Anything. It colours the life as a uni student. It brings memory.
Being in the committee itself needs commitment and effort. Liew asked us to reflect what was the initial thought for us to join the council/clubs. Since decision was made, we should be responsible for what we've opted for. We work for the club and our targe audiences out there but not for the status of our titles. Sometimes, i am really sorry for not being there. I really wanted to help out but situation wasn't allowed to. Sacrifices were not made but it left for my family in hometown during the holidays. Frankly speaking, after being so long in the team, i couldn't really feel the togetherness as a team.
Leading a club isn't a one day task.
It needs everything in the world.
Most importantly, it needs support from all the members as a whole.
I totally understand every word she spoke today because
I am leading my own team too.
