Woke up early in the morning, anticipating for our morning outing to Sun Moon Lake 日月潭, the largest natural lake in Taiwan, Nantou 南投 (slightly towards the south of Taiwan). It was a place where 9.21 earthquake hit onto this land. =X Think no more, off we went by car. =D Uncle drove and i think i dozed off on and off in the middle of the journey. It took us about 40 mins to reach there from Taichung. The lake is well known by its' water and terrain where at the east side of the lake looks like a sun while the west side looks like a moon, thus, the name. =) A breathe-taking natural scenic park for tourists to spot on. Spectacular! The weather was cold, was about 20degree celcius, what's more, it was drizzling. Wet. =D quite like it! ^^ 3 of us shared an umbrella. O_O" Fun. Haha!
Wait no more.
Pictures! =)
The lake was covered by fog.
We had our travel pass to board onto the boat.
Streets in Nantou. 水社码头, by the pier.
Comfy cafe.
Uncle had a cuppa coffee under the tree while waiting for the boat.
me with the rocky landmark.
I love the flowers floating on the lake.
The purpose of it is to avoid the wave (caused by the ships) to hit the pier.
Lavender was on it! ^^
Wild flowers. =)

Our boat! Too bad it wasn't Titanic. Hehe!
was asked to join in the fun. Those aunties *sweat* really high.
and i found out i couldn't catch with its rhythm. Opps.
Do u see the green floating place?
It's like a small scenic area with plants. Our 2nd stop.
Nonetheless, it was quite special. =D
According to the tour guide from Sun Moon Lake, this owl is good for conception and people who touched it will have twins. O_o" well, i hope not, coz i touched it. There's a Kancil on the lake.
Another story of it. Too long. =X Never mind.
Back to the boat and it's swaying. O_O" Check out the pic. Haha!
Our last pit stop was another end of the lake named 玄光寺码头where there's a temple on top of the hill. It was raining thus, we just stayed there to enjoy the temperature. Hehe! and also tried out the yummy mushroom tea egg! Eat it while it's hot! =))
Those are all mushrooms! =)
By the lake. The water... stunningly greenish blue! =D
Say byebye! =)
This cottage restaurant was searched through google last night. =D
Thought of giving it a try.
A plate of small local fried beehoon.
It wasn't small AT ALL. It's more than enough for 3-4 persons. =_="
A lil bit bitter but it just blended too well with pickled mustard, mushroom and some meat.
This scared me.
Name: 青苔汤Moss Soup.
When i scoped it, i really can see the moss. O_O" A bit geli at first, but once i tasted a sip, hmmm... it's SOUP! Haha! =_=" Mixture of ikan bilis, garlic, spring onions. =) I think this is very healthy. Ladyboss said it's good for skin. =X
On the way, saw a lot of beautiful orchids. I think popo will love this. =)
When i listened the story, hmmm, it's indeed a process which needs patience and more patience.
This is the tree that produces paint, similar as how a rubber tree produce latex. People need to cut the skin of the tree and wait for the juice to flow. The latex is normally filled up the cup but for the paint, they use big seashells. They do their work at night from 12am-6am because that's the time for good quality lacquer to be produced.
p/s: Just in case you didn't notice it, i had a lalang with me all day long when aunt plucked it out along Sun Moon Lake. Hehe! I love lalang! =D It's still with me right now. =)
Sayonara! See u on Day 9! It's coming to an end.
