and so, it continues...

As a leader, it's our duty to lead the team.
Also, there's a need to influence the team. =)

Influence is a curious thing.
Everyday, we make some kinda impact to everyone.
We may not recognize the level of influence.
And it will not be the same for everyone.

In the journey of leadership, here are some interesting formula:
Charisma + Character + Competence + Conviction = Leadership
Competence + Character + Connection = Influence.

As a leader, we may all sound noble and sensible (charisma & character), but the products come out from us (competency) are below the expectation, that's when a flaw comes in, and people simply can't be persuaded or influenced. With that, we simply can't achieve the commitment (conviction) as a leader.

A position doesn't make a leader.
Neither does a title make any influence.
A title may give some authority, but not influence others.

In order to be a better one, we have to train ourselves everyday, to learn something new and to accept comments and feedback constructively. We're not perfect, but we are trying our best to become a better one in both professional life and in personal life. =))
