Day 5

Off to JiuFen on Day 5 =) Jiufen is a historical hilly place of another side of Taiwan. Lotsa good food to hunt along the streets of Jiufen. It was a sloppy street with bricks, tanglung, mini shoplots, stalls and packed with tourists, especially during weekends. Well, we went there on Saturday morning and i guess you can imagine the crowd. From Taipei, we boarded onto local train to Rui Fang Station and took taxi to Jiufen town. Simply lurve it. ^^

PICTURES!
The landmark of JiuFen九份. =)
ice cream + peanut floss roll. Refreshing!
I think most of us love 爱玉冰right?
This is the raw plant of 爱玉... at first, i thought it was baby hedgehog.Aunt mentioned that it was washed and turned into the 爱玉that we normally eat.
The bbq'ed snails, kinda big.
Sliced it into a small paper cup of snail.
So tender and spongy, mixed it with a lil bit of chilli pepper!!
The flavour blended too well together. LOVE IT! One for rm3.50.
This is 米糕.
A big log of it. O_O"
Fried onion on top of it. Some sauce was placed on top of the kuih when it's served.
This photo was.... !@##$%
which caught quite a number of attention from people.
As though we're promoting it. Hehe!
Fried smelly toufu. O_O"
The normal food for Taiwanese.
Yes. Smelly indeed. Long queue. @_@"
Some pickles and chilli to match the toufu.
Quite delicious though. Wasn't that bad. Hehe!
Some shots of the street. =)
On top of the street.
This is the morning view with some haze. O_O"
my cousin. =D
This is the last stop.
芋圆冰
After Jiufen, we boarded the train back to Taipei.
Slept through the journey. Too tired.
101 Mall is a must in Taipei i guess. =D
We walked along the downtown.
Some roadshows along the streets.
Stepping my feet onto 101. No shopping but to their observatory tower.
Shot up to 91 floors by the elevator. RM40 per entry. With student price, i think it's about RM 37.
The interior of the 101 tower elevator.
The screen shows which floor we are at this second.
the top of the elevator.
This lightning effect changes every second. Colourful! ^^
That day, we got the chance to go to floor 91 (outdoor).
Hehe! =)
Apart from the amazing city view of Taipei and the breezing wind, we took a few shots together on top of the tower. The camera was hanging in the middle of the sky by my hand. O_o"
In love with this crystal 101. =)
Delicate work piece.
Check out the price tag! Yooohooo!
One of the mascots of 101. =D
Before going down, we passed through this colourful floor with special light effect which somehow blurred my vision. Nauseous. Hehe!
Finally. Aunt waited for us so long at the "arrival hall". Hehe!
Last pic with this wallpaper.
To my surprise, this is actually the memorial blocks for those who built this tower. Every single worker's name was mentioned in these few blocks. The first block was for those who sarcrifised their lives during the tower construction. Can't believe it actually caused so many lives.
This is a newly built shopping mall that connects with other 2 shopping malls named 新光三越. This building has a bit europe-english feel. All those are branded shops which i passed by for 5 seconds. -.-
After 101, we headed to XiMenDing once more due to unfinished food list and some shopping stuffs. Hehe! I love the colourful neon lights. =)
This is 可丽饼. Cousin loves it. She ordered chocolate banana. =)

That's the end of Day 5.
