That's why I always love about life, you get to experience life, face the encounters with people or by yourself. :) It doesn't really matter whether is it a good or a bad thing, but, it always adds on the value of our lives, isn't it?
Acknowledgement
Today, we're not talking about crediting any self worth or giving compliments to others. But today we're talking about acknowledging your feeling :) How many of us actually feel for yourself? Hmmm, how about feel for others when they go through crisis in life? Hard to imagine eh? It's understandable that not everyone can feel it for somebody because we are not the first party who went thru what our family/friends have gone through. However, as a person who involves in the helping ministry, you gotta feel for people and yet maintain the professionalism. Yes, at times, we're so eager to help, but it's never wrong to hold on to that feeling and take a breath. We're all layman. We need strength. We need to let out our emotion. Today we've learned that in order to help someone in crisis, we can encourage the person to TALK about it, to at least, know what are the feelings within us. Lotsa times, we wonder, "How come I don't feel how you feel? Am i cold blooded or I am not as empathetic as you are?" Hmmm... how about seeeing a person passed away and yet we don't feel a tiny bit of sadness? Human DO feel something, it can be amiss if someone is no longer there. Human have emotions. It's just that the process of managing that emotion is varying from individual to another individual. Thus, it's ok to cry. It's okay to be happy about something. It's ok to feel proud of your achievement. It's ok to be disappointed. It's ok to be joyful. It's ok to be you when you are just YOU!
Variance
How about variance? Hmmm. We learn about variance at mathematics or statistics. What about variance in life? Well, we are bound by a lot of rules and regulations, the usage of "part and parcel of life" is like a leeway, telling you that, everything is going to be ok. It's nothing wrong when you do this, or it's very wrong when you even think of doing it. Asian being an asian, we are bound by all these so-called greatest norm. We do this because we are told to do so. However, i always think that creating a difference shouldn't have stopped at our forefather generation. We, as an unique individual, we are the one who should start to make a difference for our next generation. Why do we have to stop somebody to create a difference? Who says this is right or wrong? Who are we? We're just a creature in this world, for trial and error, to make mistake, to move on with mistake and to create a better remedy for every lil thing in life.
Choices
Hmmm... making a choice is another challenge in life. For me, the only choice that we can't make is the choice of being born in this world and to live with a family as it is. I don't have complaints over my family, in fact, i am blessed to have a great family. What i meant here for making a choice is something that is within our means. At times we'll say "Aiya, don't have to choose lar, let others take control of this." Hmmm common isn't it? This type of concept is telling us that you and I, we don't wanna be responsible over the choices that we've made. In life, we're swimming in the pool of choices. It's whether we want to make an effort, to deliberate it or not. Be bold for your preferred choice. We live for ourselves and we only get to live once. :) Don't leave in the shadow of others. If given more chances, I will make a choice of making a choice and stand firm on my ground :) Call me a stubborn pot or a morbid.
