Northen Getaway! :)

It was a great weekend getaway to the North! :) Taiping! It was a trip with Kwang and Amy. We had a short trip of 3D2N together. Amy was the tourguide. Haha! A blur one. Sometimes, the blurness of hers as our tourguide made us ponder is she a local? haha! Nevertheless, we had a great trip. Thank you Amy and her family! :)) Never felt hungry throughout the trip! @_@"
first breakfast: wan tan mee (slightly different from the normal. haha!)

the so-called 猪杂 but how come with prawnie and fish ball? @_@ Should be with more pork or the pig internal organs. *green face*

wah! this ever lasting nostalgic parking piggy bank! so cute! ^^

Then we headed to Zoo Taiping as our first spot! :) It was a great experience and seriously, i miss zoo so much! :) Been wanting to go to the zoo! and finally! I got it! haha! :) Zoo Taiping was very clean. The smell of animal wasn't strong at all. Guess it's pretty clean huh? :)

Amy got us a local rate :) RM 8, if not it'll be RM12

Let me show you guys some interesting animals.
1. Wild Boar with beard around his mouth! So cute! Like cartoon! haha!

2. His name is Slow Loris. No joke! Every action of his was like a slow motion animal. We laughed like nobody's business. hahahahahah! :)

3. Baby lions: This gotta be our pleasant surprise throughout this trip! So cute. Never though i can carried baby lions. @_@" They were marching in front of this gate. They were blocked between 2 gates. So kesian.

It's their 1st time too!

this is quite heavy. =x a lil bit stinky if you sniff harder. Haha! But they're very very tame and cute! Just like pup! :)

4. Honey Bear- amy said she put on mask a lot. That's why her face is fair. ahah!

After Zoo, we makan lunch! Mee rebus from Taiping! :) I must say the taste from the north has a vast difference from here too! hehe! :)

the old street :)

amy's mum brought us to buy local biscuits. It's nice! Thank you Auntie :)

Rested a while at home, then we proceed with the 2nd round of visitation. We went to this waterfall that our tourguide used to hangout during her childhood. It's beautiful and it's always breathtaking to see such a beautiful scene and listen to the flow of water :) Love it.

Collected some stones, very smooth one woh! :)

After that, we went to Taiping War Cemetary. It was a memorial park to commemorate those soldiers who sarcrifised lives during the war.

well maintained. :) Perfect cleanliness. Oh btw, there's no dead body underneath :)

i think this is the best self-shot by kwang =x We're at Taiping LAKE GARDEN! Wooohoo! It's a must-go place! :))

i don't want to tell you how beautiful this place is. You have to go and withness it with your bare eyes! :) Some scenery shots :))

it's my 2nd visit to Lake Garden. As beautiful as always :)

Taiping is really very very green! :)

trees and leaves on the lake? :)

Then we off for chendol :) Very cooling after some exercises at the park. haha! :)

Taiping Muzeum! :) Free entry

i forgot what's his name ady =x

this is the last lunch in Taiping. Auntie said this is a must-eat food :) roasted duck! amy ordered a big portion! =X

and the famous lobak that ended our trip :)

It's my first time driving to Taiping, great experience, happy bonding time with friends :) I'm thankful with the hospitality received :) I wish we can visit more other places :) Thank God for the safe journey! :))

Merry Merry Christmas!

Christmas is always warm. Partly because it's rainy season in Msia? Weather's getting a whole lot more colder. It's also a time of giving and forgiving.
Lotsa people must be cracking the brains to think of what to buy for people. We struggle with giving. Do we give because we want to or we need to? How do we give to people who have practically everything already?
I came across an article which strikes me with a bright light bulb. It was a sharing by a journalist from The Star. It's not only in a particular season but as part and parcel of our day-to-day life. Let me share this article with you guys (in a summary form, of course) and some opinions of mine. =D
1. Give your personal touch
A home made card or self made gift makes the gift truly special for people.
2. Give to a worthy cause
Instead of buying something, make a donation to a cause and pass on the receipt to the person you were planning to give to. You can also support such causes by buying their products which are not only better but serve to remind us of their needs.
3. Give to the workers who are in worthy causes
People who work in orphanages or homes are sometimes forgotten. They are not paid much. Don't just say how sacrifice they are, send them a gift.
4. Give blood and pleadge organs (highlight for myself!)
This is something which i seriously would like to do. :) When i die, i hope i get to donate my functioning organs to people who need them most.
5. Give your time
Sometimes, we are so occupied and we seldom have time for people. It's also a day to day thingy, which i think we shall too, give our time to people around us. It's not always about us only. :)
6. Give your forgiveness
A season of giving is also the season of forgiving. Reach out to those who may have hurt you, in the same way you would want them to do likewise.
7. Giving up
Sometimes, it's much easier to give than to give up. Look at the clutter in your lives, including the habits you want to break. If you learn to give them up, life will become simpler and happier.
8. Giving and receiving
Although it's more blessed to give than to receive, we much also learn to receive otherwise we will deprive the other person of the joy of giving.
Point No. 8 is a particular point which i want to change in myself. I wish i can learn to be a receiver and a giver at the same time. It shall be listed in a new year resolution then! :) Point No. 6 too, is an important point which i have to take note on my own. We shall not hold an grudges. I should learn to let go and forgive people. I am learning, please guide me.
Wish every child of God will have a great Christmas! :) Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year, folks! :)

Sunday, December 12

the union of both cultures

Sunday was a blissful day to begin with :) attended the unique matrimony between an indian and a chinese. :) It's really not an easy effort for both people from different cultures to mix together. Imagine, if your husband/wife is of different race, there're so many things you have to take note and, not only this, but also to accept the family of your partner.
It's my first time attending an indian wedding ceremony. It took almost 1.5 hours for the ceremony to finish. @_@" never thought it'll be that long. Anyway, seeing the mother cried of happiness, it's kinda touched :) Guess wedding is a grace that we receive from god. :) we should all receive with a thankful heart that we're able to find a soul mate. Wishing everyone with best of luck in searching the true happiness! =D
it was held in multipurpose hall.
an indian and a chinese :) looking real great!

kid- the drummer :)

holding candles by the indian kids - from the groom

then, the chinese kids were holding the candles from the bride's.
what a lovely combination! ^^

see how happy the bride is :))

Student Affairs: Christmas Tree!

It was a leisure Friday! :) We're all set to install Christmas tree and some decorations at the Reception. Somehow to "beautify" the campus (i hope). Haha! :) Guess everyone was happy to see a christmas tree around, symbolize the season of giving. I always love Christmas more than anything :) It just gives you the warmth, though we're living in an all time summer Malaysia. =D Anyway, wishing everyone Merry Christmas in advance! :)
unpacked the tree from the boxes and unwrapped the countless plastic bags. Who on earth was so patient to wrap the tree like tat last time? @_@"
2 beautiful ladies were decorating the reception desk.
woohooo! :) i see the tree, with a lil snow on it! =D
jingle bell!- kwang, serene and... me =x
the happy christmas "labours"! XD

X-treme Skytrex Day!

A group of us challenged ourselves with Skytrex, the x-treme level. I think we're all out of our mind. The weather was perfect for us. It's a raining season end of the year but Sunday was just perfect for us! Guess God hears the prayer :)
a welcoming banner? :)
was wondering whether is the Monkey their mascot? :)
you live or die is not really their business :) just sign it! =X
my harness! ^^ i felt secured! =x though it's a bit painful. Pity the guys! haha!

There're 3 rules to take note during Skytrex. Firstly, safety first (follow the intruction of the trainer, equip yourself well with the harness). Secondly, each platform can only accommodate 3 persons. Lastly, each obstacle can only be played by 1 person. Cool?

a photo before we enter the entrance of hell? :D

I think the greatest lesson i've learned through Skytrex was not the blue black(s) that i gained on my hand, but more so to boost myself to look forward (neither backward nor downward*said Steph), to strive and push my body towards the finishing point. Don't ever give up on any of the station. At some stations, you won't get to see the finishing lines. It's scary. No kidding, it was very very very tiring. @_@" Solely climbing the vertical ladders was enough for me already, like 2 storeys tall? hello? -.-"

a V-shaped string. Leg steps on it first then only hold it with your hands.

@_@" I never tried any obstacle course that took me for almost 3 hours in the woods. Yes, i've been through camps but not as extreme as Skytrex. It's indeed a worthwhile experience for me! *roar*! Congratulations to all, we've all conquered the extreme! Had pushed ourselves to the limit! =D I had fun with them! It's healthy, we shld have more healthy activities as such.

The Monkey Bar (which i honestly gave that up!)last station! the greatest smile ever!luckily we had the gloves on!

Cheeeese!

Present of Skytrex: lumps of blue blacks on my hand, looked like an abused hand, hard to get up the next day with two heavy arms. :) hehe!

you wouldn't want to see what happened to my hand next =x

Thanks Kenneth for helping me to hold the camera and snap photos along the journey. :)
