Meaningful Birthday

A special birthday for me. More so for me, i believe it's a moment that i felt it so much at home someday in few months ago that i believe it's a calling for me to fulfill one of my life missions. "Life helps lives. Life touches lives. Life loves the lives of others."

To initiate and organize it wasn't tough but it was the coordination part that challenged me lot. As i looked back and reflected the process with the moment when my hands were held by those old folks, i am telling myself and God that it was worthy all along. It was and will be worthy. This moment you might see them but who knows the next round we revisit, people will be different already.

Sometimes, it isn't always about money, it isn't always about what's the return, it isn't always about we being busy, but it is just to fork out a few hours of our time, or even just a few minutes for these abandoned ones. Physical appearance meant so much. It's enough to see the wrinkled faces lit up by happiness and joy. It's enough for them to find some young faces to chat and it's more than enough for them to feel themselves as a parent to some of us (just for that few secs), for them to give us some strokes of hair, for them to give advice like a mum or dad. It is also reasonable for us to put words into action for the community.

I was happy because my minimum expectation was made. A friend was rightly mentioned that not a lot of people are of the same direction. Therefore, I didn't even dare to make a great expectation. All i know is we still can start somewhere, especially we, the Canossian Convent girls should do a lil bit more further than the rest because apart from the old folks, it is also about the caregivers (the sisters) that we could visit. Start small. Give a lil bit more. That's all they need and that's also what we can do :)

Psalm 18: 28-29 - "You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall."

It was a special birthday that i created for myself, first time ever.

Happy Birthday :)

p/s: The photo above was a surprise souvenir from one of the sisters. Appreciate it.

Creamy Wednesday

It's been ages for such celebration to bump into the real world of ours! :) We're still young, come'on! :) It was Amy's birthday on last Wednesday, well, she's quite easily "planned". The surprise zoomed in quite fast. One moment we're at the stadium to gather all the partners in crime, the next moment we're at the apartment to begin the cream war surprise! :) I had fun! Though we need to spend a lot of time to clean up, but birthday was still the main focus of the night.

I think we had 2 rounds of smashing cream on her. Thanks to Hau Shen who acted so quickly in this. The fake cake just went off "PIAK" on her face like that :) Chun'ted! :) and to our surprise, she didn't expect the CREAM was the main lead of the night :D

2nd round of cream war was during the group photo. "How about to wear a cream crown?" Hehe! And oh boy, the war went off so crazily that some of them hid in my housemate's room and didn't dare to step out! Hahahahah!

The birthday queen!

Glad to have you both around in the house ;)

I can't comprehend why that night i was quite touched seeing everyone had fun with the party. I guess the bond that we have is increasing in a linear way :) I appreciate all of your friendships to me, not just a colleague but more like a playmate, a friend :)

I guess it was an unforgettable night for all of us :)) and we actually had "After-action-review"meeting at mamak for the crime team! ahhahaha! FUN!

Now, who doesn't want us to celebrate your birthday? :)

Raya Break in KL

Colleagues and i decided to do something crazy. We went to Putrajaya for night photoshooting and playing lanterns! Putrajaya never failed to amaze me though i've been here for quite some times. This time round, we managed to see an upgraded version of the bridge. The colours changed in few seconds. It's really interesting and colourful! :) We did some jumping shots.

Betty crowned the best shot for this bridge :)
colour changes
Humongous! :)
Then we headed to a few government buildings just to wander around and snap pics for 4 of us. It's such a pity that i forgot about the tripod. Then i realised there's this function in the camera (frame) that i never used before. Hmmm, nevertheless i still wished to get a hold of my camera and come back here to adjust the functions of the camera.

Serene and I- pattern liao-liao! :Dthis group pic was great! :)
Amy said she looks smaller behind me -_-" so profound wasn't it? and all my fat revealed! ROAR! Anyway, it's quite a great pic too! 温馨 :)
That night, the 3 of them looked really great in any of the photos taken with just the 3 of them.
so, we played lanterns too! :) Some kids came by to see tanglung :D
hehe the camwhore us :D
Serene brought us to this Mewah Club. It's located in the hilltop, houses swimming pool, tennis court, yoga place and a cafe. We chilled at the hill top during wee hour. Witnessed some fireworks. :) Nicey :)
Met Jaden boy at Boulevard Hotel :)
boy boy was a bit cranked, maybe it's the long journey from Penang.
aunties brought him to Toy R' Us! immediately after we came out, he zzz'ed! @_@Betty and i :D
It was very very eventful after i reached KL. @_@ I wonder where does my energy come from but i really thankful to my friends around who always teman me always. God bless everyone! :)

Dr. Biles & Ms. Eileen =)

It was an inspiring night for all of us. The presence of Dr. Biles & Ms. Eileen was really superb! The analogy given by the both of them in terms of counselling was down to earth. To me, both of them are the angels from God sent. They came to Msia to share their knowledge with Malaysians. It's my first time meeting Ms. Eileen, she's an Italian, living in U.S. A crisis intervension expert, a music therapist, a good friend of Dr. Biles, a great counsellor and i love her learning attitude.

We met Dr. Biles for quite a few times, she's a respectful mentor of ours. :) Her spirit in spreading the seeds of love and knowledge really motivates me to elevate my mission in life. The selfless characteristic makes me feel that the world is indeed beautiful with people like her :) She is forever pleasant to me. Her hug really warmed me, just like a mummy to us. She has 9 children, mind u, only 2 are biological, the rest are adopted. I've got a shock when i heard that. We shall always share good things with others =) Never ever fail the essence of sharing :)

As a counsellor, far more often we concern a lot on the approach stated in the text. In our education, we're taught to have a counselling approach. That night was an eye-opener for me. Both the experts said approach is always the next thing as a counsellor. Being a counsellor, your hand is like a rope. When a person is in danger, you throw the rope to the person and grab that person out. Just like your best friend, what he/she needs is very simple. Our best friend simply needs our ears and heart. Isn't it simple and precise? Same goes to the r'ship with client and counsellor. Client wants a listening ears and a truthful heart.

Supposed to be a formal discussion on the upcoming National Counselling Conference and research discussion, we ended up listening and sharing of experiences :)

so, we went for a good dinner that night with the both of them :)

a group pic with all of us at wee hour :) almost 12am @_@" and we gotta work the next day too O_O so happening right...

Summer Escape!

It's glad that friends come by and hangout together :) Especially friends whom you longed to see and yet chances are so slim :) I am very thankful that they came by and to do some simple catch-up together. Often times, i feel very proud of my friends, it's been such a great journey since secondary school and we're still maintaining the relationship. The care and love are the elements that we uphold since then i supposed? :)

We cracked our heads to think of a place to hangout. Mall isn't a good place because shopping isn't the main criteria for us. It was real hot. "Genting" was blurted randomly and off we went. @_@" Drove to the mid of the hill and took cable car up! :) It's been real long. The weather was just perfect! =) Breezing cool air with great companions! What's more to complaint? :)

this is my curse of Genting. I puked... again.

Group photo before we left outdoor activities :)Celebrated soofei's birthday :) cute heart-shaped Baskin Robbins :) It's been so long since we celebrated birthday together. I miss my birthday with you girls lot.Photo edited by Siew Ping :) Love it

Thanks to our friend who is working in Genting, we enjoy meals and fun with half-priced rate! :) Hehe! Minimum spending, maximum enjoyment! =) Drove back home late at night, thank God we reached safely. Spent our one last day- Sunday with dimsum and coffee at Midvalley before they set-off to Singapore :)

Till then!

By the way, it's dated way back in early of May =)

i'll be there...

When you're in need, I'll be there for you.
Such a typical sentence right? Especially things happen within the circle of friends, we'll always say "I'll be there for you." Seriously, it's not easy. Easier said than done.
"Yes, i'll put my things aside, and be there for you..."
i am touched because i felt it. I am very thankful for what i've received.

Appreciation

No matter how bumpy the journey can be, no matter how sucks the day I've been through, no matter how heart-wrenching can a case happen, I know I'm always blessed and loved by you three. Up until now, words are still beyond me, for all the love and support that i've received. Nothing else more can I say apart from thank you. You're my angels from God sent :) Dedicate this post to you, for me to remember a day which was important to me. 2 March 2011. For me to remember no matter how tough the day can be, i'll always have you to back me up, and stick with me as a team :) Bless you all. AMEN!

New Year Dinner

Had my 1st New Year Dinner with my secondary school friends, Rui Xue and Siew Ping :)) All of us enjoyed the "Just Thai" cuisines. Love spicy foodie! =) It's a new year! Should treat ourselves better, kan? :)

Thanks RX for introducing this restaurant to us :)

tiga orang :)

tomyam beehoon, thai mango salad, thai green curry chic, laksa with the curry, tomyam soup and thai style spaghetti! :))) *slurrrrrrrrp*!
Oh then we discovered this frozen yogurt thingy! :)

and so we tried! :)))) SUPER REFRESHING!
a must try thing if you're in One U :)
a lil pricey though coz it'll be weighed after you dispense the yogurt and add the side "dish" for it. So, our bowl of yogurt was RM 19.30 -__-"

X-treme Skytrex Day!

A group of us challenged ourselves with Skytrex, the x-treme level. I think we're all out of our mind. The weather was perfect for us. It's a raining season end of the year but Sunday was just perfect for us! Guess God hears the prayer :)
a welcoming banner? :)
was wondering whether is the Monkey their mascot? :)
you live or die is not really their business :) just sign it! =X
my harness! ^^ i felt secured! =x though it's a bit painful. Pity the guys! haha!

There're 3 rules to take note during Skytrex. Firstly, safety first (follow the intruction of the trainer, equip yourself well with the harness). Secondly, each platform can only accommodate 3 persons. Lastly, each obstacle can only be played by 1 person. Cool?

a photo before we enter the entrance of hell? :D

I think the greatest lesson i've learned through Skytrex was not the blue black(s) that i gained on my hand, but more so to boost myself to look forward (neither backward nor downward*said Steph), to strive and push my body towards the finishing point. Don't ever give up on any of the station. At some stations, you won't get to see the finishing lines. It's scary. No kidding, it was very very very tiring. @_@" Solely climbing the vertical ladders was enough for me already, like 2 storeys tall? hello? -.-"

a V-shaped string. Leg steps on it first then only hold it with your hands.

@_@" I never tried any obstacle course that took me for almost 3 hours in the woods. Yes, i've been through camps but not as extreme as Skytrex. It's indeed a worthwhile experience for me! *roar*! Congratulations to all, we've all conquered the extreme! Had pushed ourselves to the limit! =D I had fun with them! It's healthy, we shld have more healthy activities as such.

The Monkey Bar (which i honestly gave that up!)last station! the greatest smile ever!luckily we had the gloves on!

Cheeeese!

Present of Skytrex: lumps of blue blacks on my hand, looked like an abused hand, hard to get up the next day with two heavy arms. :) hehe!

you wouldn't want to see what happened to my hand next =x

Thanks Kenneth for helping me to hold the camera and snap photos along the journey. :)
