appreciation

I'm happy and having a mixed feeling today.
Eustress indeed.
Finally, my application is approved from UPM.
Thank God for realising my prayer.

It's the beginning, yes it is. It's the first stepping stone that I need to take.
New phase. New beginning. New chapter.
Step by step in fulfilling my dream :)

Big thanks to my family/ friends/colleagues who have been encouraging me all these while, preparing me for the potential "challenges" that I am going to face... =)

All the best, Shan Na! =)

the battle...

at times, life comes to such a juncture that... you have no brain to think anymore... it's more like giving yourself the excuse of "see no evil". What comes in, what kicks on! *and move on*

have you ever come to a situation that you have so much of conflict internally? something like you want to fight for it but due to certain constraints, you have got to stop and wait? =X It takes so much of energy and patience, if you're not so much onto the waiting, you could have blasted everything around you and excuse yourself from the situation. Haha! =D

hmmm well, it's nothing personal, nothing emotional. i am just thinking and wondering, God put us into various challenges in life, it's good that we can overcome it and it's also good if we can't because it's forever a learning point of life. It's just a matter of perception =)

and yes, i'm struggling between people and task, however, whatever it is, as long as we don't cross the boundary, we don't hurt others' feeling, i believe the task can be a fulfilling one. Empowerment is so essential. It's a form of trust and faith we have in others or given by others. If everyone is entitled with this, the world is beautiful =)

Never realised, I am not really an S when it comes to work and especially when time is ticking faster that i could imagine. =) needs a lot of prayers! let's gambateh.

who am i

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

greeny day!

It's a day out to the green!
-Botanical Garden, Putrajaya-

The pigs couldn't get up on time, ended up pacing ourselves in the botanical garden under the hot sun around 1.00pm++. The garden was a lil bit pathetic. It wasn't really well publicised despite the fact that they do have wonderful greenery over there. I love to see the greens but if only the sun could hide behind the clouds a lil. The garden isn't very huge. In the end, we both realised how great Taman Pertanian is. With clearer signages, with more human. It somehow gives you the energy and motivation to walk a lil bit more.

feel like rolling up from the top to the bottom of this green carpet! =D
very cute =)

the plant labels are not completed. not every plant is labelled.

I think Putrajaya Botanical Garden can be improved a whole lot more better. With better signages system and with the flora fauna labels to give a better understanding to the tourists. Don't waste such a big field. Go green, Malaysia! =D I'll go back again if there's any chance, provided that the weather is good for a walk =)

it's a very suitable place to do self reflection

Thanks to the weather, we went to Alamanda and catch "Unstoppable" and we were even late for 15 minutes! That's another random thing to do sometimes when holiday strikes!:)

For You! =D

Some people might ask, why didn't you blog today? What's up for today? Seems like blog is a coaster of memories. It's like a memory box for me to keep all my wonderful and terrible experiences of my life. One day, if I get amnesia, i hope i can use back this link, to reminisce my life. Oh, that's provided if i am able to type my web address. :)

Was talking to a friend last night, she said it's better for me to blog something about her so that i can remember her next time. Haha! So cute. So, here you go, i'm going to blog a few significant things which amazed me with her personality and characteristics.

I always tease her for being impatient but the truth is she has been waiting for me without blowing me up to the top. She waited for me to finish up my work (a very last minute work). I thot she gonna be berapi soon but in the end, we still went off happily and celebrated birthday of our colleague's. Then, again, she kept me company when i was in the midst of project preparation because she thot that it's better to have someone together, especially late at night. So, she was patiently waited and did her stuff. What's more, she waited for 3 hours to get on a ride to the cable car during the trip! @_@" That shocked me too after knowing that if it's not my fav, she would have given up on that ride =)

parasailing! =D enjoying sunset! suitable for pigs like us who can't get up for a sunrise.
Hmmm i just wanna express my gratitude towards this friend of mine, who plays such an important role in my life. I agree with her, one day, we'll definately part our ways and pursue our dreams. What matter the most is, we cherish each other's presence and we treasure this friendship. Having trust and faith, and being honest to each other are very important criteria to keep a relationship alive. With two very different characteristics of knowing each other, it takes more than just a "cm" of understanding and tolerance, it takes hell out of energy level to sustain a friendship, i agree no more with the trainer of DISC workshop. It's not all about the fun and play, but this friend really made me grow internally. She made me learn a lot. She teaches me the "lesson of the day" with all her motivational quotes. She allows me to learn the "proper communication" and be assertive under certain circumstances. I enjoy working with her too. She's the one that i rant the most with, and also crap to! She gives me the warmy hug when i needed the most. :) All in all, she sayang me a lot!

I will keep in touch with you, amy yong! =D *though u're not leaving... yet, neither am i... yet* :) Thank you for all the memories shared. Thank you for your "guidance" and big big love! Thank you for keeping me in your heart and going through a lot of thick and thin though i did slash you into pieces some times =D I'll be waiting for you to blow bubbles for me during my wedding in the future ! :) I hope you don't break the promise. =)

Thank you amy jiejie! =D Love you!

just soofei and i

A day out with soofei just for photoshooting purpose at UK Farm of Kluang. Been really into the blue, green and brown throughout the holiday! I always enjoy the presence of soofei, we chat, crap and catch up lots of things whenever we can. It's a personal time with a friend which i really appreciate. Anyway, i had a good morning with soofei and the nature. :) also, the super early breakfast with ern, meiteng and soofei! =) Really missing those days of casual and leisure breakfast, especially during the weekends when we don't have classes. It's the effort that really matter, that bring us together =)

meanwhile, enjoy some shots... =)

I enjoyed myself lots =) Hope you're too!

wanxin

Spending time with Wanxin can be real fun. She lightens up your heart a lil, just to play with her freely, without thinking anything but just to have fun with her. Love to listen to her laughters (priceless...) and she'll look at everyone and smile when all of us are quiet (even more priceless moment). Bet she'll be a real friendly and approachable girl when she grows up :) Wish she can grow healthily! :)) She's very happy that day when we went to meet her and her mummy! :) Had a girl-hang-out day! =DD
See how fast she grow? with 2 lil teeth! :)
she starts to crawl and flip here and there! =D
Wanxin is going to spend her 1st Christmas with us! :)
i can't tell the price of this photo :)
Oh btw, did i mention? She knows how to wave goodbye and "gimme 5!" by 2 lil hands of hers! Haha! Adorable to the maximum! :)

holiday

How to spell holiday? :) I sniffed holiday :) I'm spending my holiday back at hometown for quite a long period this time. 7 days are real long! It's been so long......................... as in... very very long. It's been so long that I seriously indulged in holiday mode. In normal days, I only have weekend as pseudo-holiday. It's always short but an acute one. Haha! =X and it's always with mb (monday blue). Love to keep myself filled up during weekend if possible, if not laze around at home also quite a positive option! ^^
Anyway, spending holiday at home feels great! It's the family quality time that matter the most. Today is a public holiday. Had a good hangout time with my parents. We talked a lot and laughed about stupid stuff back at home. Also, met up with friends and had a good chat over the table, planned for christmas party. Felt so great and excited over it! ^^

During holidays, you don't have to worry how to get up at 8.10am? -.-! don't have to figure wat to eat during lunch or dinner. Certain days, you can just laze around at the couch, be a couch potato! You can focus on your own time, own space. A place that really really belong to you. The room by myself.
However, i do miss friends back in KL and office =)) Miss the craps! Oh yes, i'm a greedy girl! =X

childhood

A child is a blank sheet of paper. As for what a paper can be, it really depends on how it's being painted by the closed ones. Want it to be yellow? Paint it! Want it to be grey? Go ahead! Children are always naive. They have the best hearts, the most innocent kind souls. If only children can remain as who they are even if they grow. Hmmm... well, it's always the sad truth of NO in this world. So, yea, move on!
I miss my childhood. I was having dinner yesterday, and i could still remember how i ate that. I scooped a spoon of sauce to the rice (steam fish sauce to be exact), then i smashed the fish with rice and I ate it. You know what I thought of? My grandma :) She used to feed me like that when i was a toddler. You'll find no bone in that coz she had extracted them out. Though it's just fish, rice and the sauce, it simply tastes delicious because it reminds me spending those moments with my loved ones. Seriously, I hope to have more time for her. The cooking flavour is always there, it never run away, it's the human that run away :(
Ok. Don't emo. Holiday is about spending more time with family. I should, i seriously should. I don't wanna live a life with regret for not spending enough time for family.

-l i f e-

How many times in our life, we get to do and witness things like this? To temporary cease things in our daily life and to relax a while? To be away from the hustle bustle of the city? To be free from a rigid place? To just enjoy yourself FREELY without worrying what's there for tomorrow?

how many sunsets have you seen this year?
get to lie down on the beach, and play with sand? floating on the sea, seeing the greens and blues with your bare eyes?

to regress life a lil and to do something childish like blowing bubbles?
to leave footprint and maybe... slippers :) ?

I guess, we're just too busy and occupied with studies, with work, with people. There are a lot of free items in life that we tend to forget, which seemed to be negligible: the sun, the greenery, the sky, the love, and our life. Let's make full use of these items. We can live out to a better world of our own.

Food heaven!

Guess Langkawi is really Malay Food Heaven! :) We haven't had any chinese food though. Hehe! We kept on looking for good food around the island, paced around Cenang Beach, Kuah Town. Malay's seems to be the first choice always. Oh well, they're good at their very own cuisine. How can we just don't love Malaysia? Correct?
nasi lemak 3rows in the trip!
yummmmmmy!
english breakfast too! :) love bread!
a lot of you might be wondering what is this!
tadaaaaaaa! IKAN BAKAR! (it's 2nd attempt though)
no kidding, it's good! *the pic was slightly not so appetizing*
oppps! :) but it's heavenly!
tomyam mix! :)
spicy!
kangkung belacan!
oh btw, we had kangkung belacan during every heavy meal.
it's just so happened that this is OUR favourite. -.-!
last night in the island, curry powder crab! :)
very fragrant! tasted curryish. :) but a lil salty though.
SOTONG! NICE! BIG! FRESH! ooooo we tambah our food on our "last dinner".
sambal kueyteow goreng kerang, claimed to be famous there by the taxi driver
it was good!
These are from Kuah Town during our teabreak
spicy popiah and pulut :)
yummy too!
i got a shock of my life when the so-called asam laksa from langkawi was served.
look exactly like longkang sampah.
but to my dismay, it tasted delicious! =) One of the morning breakfast that May ordered: Mee Siam!
very tempting! with the sambal, close to perfection!
first dinner taken: telur bungkus with chic and veggie in it :)
ayam paprik!
first ikan bakar we had: Ikan pari pari
our beloved May called it Ikan Hantu
*faint*

It was quite a funny, contented makan trip for us too! Guess we were all hungry after the activities during the days. Therefore, food were all very precious to us. :)

The Sea. The Sand. The Beach (Day 4)

It was Day 4- a day to bid farewell to this wonderful island. I could still remember how excited we were upon the arrival. "Hi LANGKAWI!" Oh well, time flies! We still need to face the reality. Haha! A few shots for last day. Nothing much already as we needed to "stabilize" our feeling, more so, mine. Haha!

the botak tree in front of our chalet

last breakfast at Breakfast Bar and mamak at the same time.
i love the decoration inside the Breakfast Bar
funny how they name themselves as the "Wrong Corner".
never give up, continue to play o_O
Finally, it's time to fly home :) Lining up to check luggage.
the handmade souvenir for ourselves from langkawi since we didn't get any souvenir for ourselves.

Souvenir for papa and mama! :D

More post on Langkawi will be up in a short while. :) It's not ended in Day 4 only :)
