I had a great great Chinese New Year this year round. Guess CNY is all about family and friends. If only the holidays can be slightly longer. I'm still glad that i get to accompany my family more this time round :) Apart from the social circle that we had during cny, we also had a lot of sumptuous food! Oh well, when we talk about chinese, we talk about food! :D haha! which we're quite proud of. *evil laugh with big belly

to the RED... to the RED

Created a surprise party for our boss on Friday at the office with potluck style makans session. Everyone was in red! :) The Student Affairs Office was super red to the extreme that the students were asking what's wrong with the office today. Everyone was thinking about Chinese New Year, in fact, it was actually for our boss's celebration. :)
I think everyone had fun? With the announcement of bonus, it's like adding the value of this party. Haha! The food was very delicious. Thanks everyone for all the food prepared. What's more, Happy Birthday in advance to our boss, Pei Boon! :) Hope you can have a great year ahead. With your leadership, the team shall move forward in the coming days.

Let the "Cycle of 25" Begin!

Happy Birthday to me :)  Yea yea i know, i am old, celebrated my 25th silver jubilee. Can't believe I am actually survived my quarter of life. It's been a real blessing from people around me. Every year is always like a colourful portrait, with fruitful content, made me grow internally and to treasure even more for my life, my family and friends and all the loved ones.
Every year, making wish(es), ok, i have to say i am greedy, i make more than just 1 wish. Let's pray that God will hear my prayer and keep my wishes in His list. =) This year round, I haven't had time to really sit down, be calm and think about my wishes, especially when the first candle was lit, I was so unprepared. Deep down my heart, I was like... Awwww i missed it! Well, as hours went by, I've thought 'em through and I was sincerely making every single wish to God. Don't have to reveal it here, as long as God and me know is more than enough :)

The campers' bday song to me :)
I was so touched when i saw this in FB =)

This year is very special year to me, not having the fact that i labelled my year as silver jubilee, but i was really touched by my friends' gesture in making my bday a successful ones. What's more, the students, who sang a bday song which was recorded and tagged through FB, i was really touched to listen to them (though the song was a lil bit crooked, who cares?) A mini lil choco cake from students that made my day to the sweetest bit. I am thankful to them.

A surprise mini cake for me :) Thankful to all my students!

Every year, it always remind me how grateful I am towards people in my life, for them remembering me and my day. The sms(es) i've received and all the msgs through FB really warmed my heart. Moreover, an email sent all the way from UK, a personalized slide just for me had made me shed a few tears early in the morning at work, Huiru, thank you for your thoughfulness and love though u made me cried. It was really a pleasant surprise. I hope i get to celebrate our big days and happy moment together =)

Dedicated to me by HuiRu which made me cried early in the morning @_@"
For my friends and colleagues, you guys rocked! Thanks for the dinners. This year round was more like an eating marathon than a bday marathon. Haha! Thanks for the good food which bombed your pocket with a big burnt hole. You guys loved me too much until each celebration was with western food!

What a coincidence! :) It's 86! :D
tried my new camera at the peak- Look Out Point :) mi said she's the woman of her words that she'd bring me over as promised. =D

To my SDCU! Thanks for eating so much of bread with me! ^_^v It's really funny to see you girls with bread and pasta! Muahahaha! Italiannes turned out to be a "mamak stall" with our presences because we're just too loud and insulted the fine dining place. Hehe. It's very warm to listen to your blessings for me. And Kershin's loooooong sms :) I've kept it in my hp already.

You girls rock lor! =D

the classic pizza :D yummmmy!

To the council gang! :D Thanks for the smokey bbq buffet! I guess all of us surely had put on weight. Better do more exercise yea, if not, cny cannot eat that much during the dinner! Hmmmph! :) Oh yes, and the ever loving card, haha, Steph, i knew it was from u! It made me laugh lots seeing me a dumb dumb one. Love you! *muaks* Also, to my housemates! Big thank you! The biggest cake of the year- strawberry flavoured with lots of fresh strawberries with the fresh cream topping. Yummmmy! It wasn't not jelak at all! =D

Thank you guys!

isn't the card funny? hahahaha! it's me! :D
Didn't expect we can eat McD prosperity meal together during my bday night :) Thanks, Steph!
Oh and yesh~ thanks for secondary school mates! :) you know who you are! =) Thanks for taking your time to celebrate with me. Enjoy the crap! The food! and the shooting session! :)

Had a good lunch and chatters filled the air :)

Last but not least, to the main organizer of my bday-Amy, words just can't describe my gratitude to you. You're the greatest! =D eventhough all your plans were leaked by your "plan mate" one by one but still, it turned out good! Thank you for keeping all your words for wanting to bring me here and there. Thank you for that big surprise with the pooh and mickey card on the keyboard which i only noticed after a few minutes even though i was right in front of the computer. A simple card with meaningful message has added priceless value to my birthday and my life being a close friend with you. You've set a high benchmark in me and if next round I don't get to have people as such, you're to blame! Muahahahha! Sorry. Too much, i know. =) I'm thankful :) Big hug!

Disney card! Hehehe! :)
Silly card with precious message and collage of photos for journey of our friendships :)
I'm grateful to have you around, for you being the real you :)

At times, celebration really doesn't need a big dinner, an expensive gift, or many many people. I realise, without expectations, there's always surprises! Be it just a small one, it's more than enough to warm my heart. Thank you for making me such a special friend in you. I do wonder sometimes, who am i to deserve such a good treatment. I feel loved. Thank you! *muaks!* Appreciate everyone :)

the reflection of 2010; the new chapter of 2011

I still remembered, the previous new year eve, i had a great new year dinner with my sis and i sat in front of the lappy for the whole day, to reflect my 2009 and to make new year resolution for my 2010.

This year round, i would still go for a reflection of the year (though it's 4th day of a brand new year, who cares), not in terms of my life event, but i would like to dedicate this reflection page with people/things that i'm really thankful for.
Guess 2010 had been a real good year for me. I found my ever happy and enjoyable job as my first stepping stone. The biggest joy and the first thing in my thankful list: my colleagues and the job. The greatest thing of working under pressure (at times) is that you have a bunch of supportive team mate. Thank you May, Ker Shin and Amy for always being there for me during my important period of working days. I am no one without you guys, seriously. The encouragement, the giggles, the trip, the laughters, the seriousness, the professionalism, the patience and the love i've received were the most appreciative gifts for me.
Apart from my very own unit, i won't be forgetting my department, my supervisors and boss for having trust in me throughout the year. Honestly, im blessed to be in Student Affairs with the colleagues and with that, i enjoyed my working experiences to the maximum, i looked forward to my work and i looked forward to learn even more :)The next grateful thing is knowing Amy as a friend, not just confined in the office but out of office. Sometimes, God really put me in such a way that, you'll definately get to bump into different people under certain circumstances. To my dismay, i couldn't believe that she played such an important friend in my life. I used to dislike her as a student and now I love her as who she is, as a friend, as a sister and as a companion :) I'm thankful for knowing her, she made me learn how to communicate better and to express my thoughts (which i hardly do). She offered her helping hands by all means. She can be sarcastic, can be impatient, can be harsh and impulsive, but deep down inside, she has sucha kind heart for a friend. That's something made her special in her own-amy-way :) Thank God for putting her in my life, it's one of the greatest thing in 2010.Next, i'm thankful for my working experiences in UCSIU. I enjoyed myself with students, with all the programmes that we conducted. With the sweat and tears (not really tear) and most importantly the teamwork received was priceless. I got to attain the sense of fulfilment. The opportunities given for me to enhance my experiences as a Student Development staff. I knew I've grown and walked an extra miles. Apart from work, I received an offer for Masters study which i've aimed for. What's there to complain about life? I'm really having a smooth journey.
Freshman Camp was the baby of the year.
Giving student the positive experiences is always the best thing to do :)

guiding and empowerment are always the elements of student development.

A trip to Miri made me learn to take up leadership, to be assertive and prompt when times needed.
Last but not the least, I'm thankful for my ever supportive friends, be it in KL or Kluang. Friends circle started to shrink and reduced. That's when you know who are the one that you're really close with and who are the one you could turn to. Particularly thankful for a few friends like steph, huiru and ray for always being there for me when i wanted to rant about the horrendous life. 2010 was also with a lot of changes, missing my ex-housemates lots, especially the presence of my roommate. Well, life's just gotta move on. I'm leading a great year and I am blessed :) Graduated and i guess that moment of time, family is the best support and witness of all for me. Love my family lots.
***********************************************************
Yes. A new year is here. The new chapter, a new drawing block for me to paint the colours, a new journey to begin. It's gonna be a great year, I know it will :) With lots of challenges, with loves and with strength, I believe I can pull it through and enjoy my year with lots of hope and grace. Attitude is very important.
People always say, nah... forget about the new year resolution, but i'm always here to create some resolutions for myself because it's really great to be able to fulfil some of my resolutions of the year. Be hopeful and looking forward in seeing the rainbow across the sky :)
This year round, I would hope for a few things:
1. To master my counselling skills, to practise it, and to offer help.
2. To strive a balance for my study and work without neglecting either one.
3. To improve my public speaking skill and to give talks/workshops.
4. To further improve my personal relationship with friends around me.
5. To manage myself with people and to brush up my people-comm skills
6. To begin the journey of faith and to understand His words.
7. To continue to spread the seed of love to people around me.
8. To humbly learn from one another with an open heart.
9. To love and be loved- giving and receiving
10. To pray for good health and safety for family, friends and myself.
Let me strive hard, work hard, study smart, play hard and pray hard for a greater 2011! :)
Happy New Year, Peeps! =D
