=)

A day without any on-going event.
A day without much hassle in the office.
I enjoy the peacefulness,
not tranquility, but just merely peacefulness. =)
To be able to focus.
To ransack my overdue papers.
To arrange my overdue post-files.
To do those unfinished items of post-event.

*******************************************
At times, I will think to myself,
what is synergy?
People are so yearned for it yet so scared of it.
Well, at least, i am one of them.

I totally agree what my lecturer used to say.
We do not need that many people.
We just need those who are willing to stay and commit.
With different directions, how can all be as one?
With diverged goals, how can all be a success?
With just merely a seed, how can it bloom without any watering?

It just need times.
It takes times.
There's always a stepping stone.
Why have to be in a hurry everytime?

Recalling...reflecting...readjusting...

I was browsing through some papers in my room just now.
Just so happened I saw a few meeting minutes and preparation papers regarding Mental Health Month back in 2008.
I guess it somehow gave me a sign to pen down something here.
I can't deny I am a very nolstalgic person.
I reminisced those days.
I admired those spirit we had for each other.
I appreciated the help from everyone of us.
I treasured the genuine friendships and the sincerity.
I was touched to see such response from the floor.
I was overwhelmed how the scattered us could be sticking with each other.
Endless meet-up, uncountable efforts and arguement.
We had it successfully despite of the sweat and tears.
We perceived it as a whole.
We put down personal grudge.
We put down personal favour.
We ran it as a goal, a same direction that each other held.
Today, as i was reminiscing and reflecting myself upon it,
I am apathetic.
I could not feel the sense of accomplishment.
I could not see the enthusiats.
I could not understand the message delivered.
I failed to bring them together.
I failed to let them know that it's not because i have to do, then i have to do.
I failed to bring the message "I want to do and I will make it happening" across.
Most importantly, I failed to bring my heart into it, though in the very beginning, I was filled with hope and dream.
The impact of human on another human could be so big.
Nonetheless, this won't stop me from gaining what i've lost.
It will again, motivate me to go extra miles,
simply because, I gotta see those potential students shine a bright light, and who had been shattered and hidden for long. =)

Korea Commemorative Summit

It was Thursday. 2.30pm so to speak at Renaissance Hotel. 40+ of us went there. My first attempt to this cultural exchange event entitled Korea Commemorative Summit. In a glance, as i looked at the word "Summit", i was like... =="? big.
The ball room.
VIP seats.
"Partnership for Real, Friendship for Good"
Korea, Closer Than You Imagine.
very korea'ish decorated.
but at first, i thought it was johor's flag. Haha! =D
the ice! =) cannot lick of course. -.-"

Anyway, the overall program was ok. -.-" No chairs provided and we had to stand for quite a long period. Not used to eat the Korean refreshment which was 80% sticky food and it won't slip away from your teeth. -.-' I lurve Korean main dishes though but it wasn't served any.

National anthems of Korea and Malaysia were sung.
this Korean lady studies in Malaysia and her voice was best!
I can't sing any better than her for Negaraku.*salute*

B-Boys performances hiked up the atmosphere to the peak!
break dance. humurous drama play. Haha! :) Bruce Lee in action- half naked! =D
I don't know how many twists and turns this korean guy in B-Boys had made.

Tried some of Korea stuffs like their costume. -.-" so speechless as i viewed myself with it. Also, face painting! Haha! :D Gone was the Samsung Omnia to a secondary student as the grand prize winner. He shouldn't have got it. He's just a secondary student... =( we need it more than him. Haha! Luck lady wasn't with us that time =X

Taekwondo was originated from Korea.
Balloons! =)

My turn! =D this korean girl was a bit aggressive as she dressed me up and undressed me. oppps! i look like a korean auntie selling wantan mee with kimchi. =___________=" WEIRD!! I prefer Kerhuey's custome colour! that one in pink. Some of us with the koreans. face painting by a lovely lady. =)

Anyway, it's another great event organized. Indeed an eye-opening experience in spite of the numb legs and ugly pics. Haha! =D Thank you, UCSI =D. Is there any Korea exchange program for me? =D

case study-Autism

This semester, i am given a lot of opportunities to conduct field work out of UCSI. Counseling Psych, Abnormal Psych, and Ethics... these three subjects are a must for field work. Troublesome? Definately. Experiential? *YES! thumb's up!*

Today was the 2nd session i had with the autistic children for my Abnormal Psychology case study at Hua Min Autism Centre, Subang Jaya. I went there since last week with HuiRu and Kwang for observation purpose and try to befriend with the children there. As for today, we had an interview session with the parents for further info.

Well, let's do a summary. Mother is the best in this world. We wouldn't know how much mothers had sarcrifised for us, what's more for those mothers with special kids? *sigh* They need to pay 3x to 5x effort compare to normal parents. They need to face the prejudgment of the surrounding. Sometimes, i wished god can be fairer. During the interview, i got to know a lot about these autistic children on their family history, medical background and personality. People, we are indeed relatively fortunate compare to them.

Autistic kids are really innocent and cute. They have different types of classes in the centre, ranging from music to colouring, or even mathematics and counting money. Today, they played musical ball with us. I had a great time with them despite of my low energy bar due to pilled assignment this week. It quite saddening to see the difficulties they face as a child. They can't form a proper sentence, they can't speak well, they enjoy being in their own world, most importantly, they are having attention deficit problems and i think they don't even know what's going on around them. Big sigh.

It's sad to know that society is looking down on these childen, even the teachers in the primary school itself, are discriminating the children and ask the parents to send them to somewhere else. Sigh. Where is love education? No more. Parents are their pure support.

We are glad to know that parents are aware of their children's condition. They are warm, strong and kind. However, there are some parents who do not face the reality and they just give up on the children. It's sad to know that the kids are being abandoned in the centre.

Every child born in this world, has his special call. I believe one day, they can be recovered. I am touched by every word and every move of theirs. I hope i can have more patience and love in them.

Let love reigns.

Thank you lecturers for giving us all these exposures and hands-on learning. =)
